Telmo Pievani teaches or has taught the entire course and chaired the Examination Boards of the following teachings:

  • in the academic years 2017-2018, 2018-2019, 2019-2020, 2020-2021, 2021-2022, 2022-2023 he holds tenure-track teaching of Philosophy of Biological Sciences, Naturalistic Communication and, in co-tenure, Bioethics and Biotechnology Regulations (respectively for: Master’s Degree Course in Evolutionary Biology; Master’s Degree Course in Natural Sciences; Bachelor’s Degree Course in Biotechnology) at the Department of Biology, University of Padua;
  • in the academic years 2013-2014, 2014-2015, 2015-2016, 2016-2017 he has in tenure the teaching of Philosophy of Biological Sciences, Anthropology and, in co-tenure, Bioethics and Biotechnology Regulations (respectively for: Master of Science in Evolutionary Biology; Master of Science in Natural Sciences; Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology) at the Department of Biology, University of Padua;
  • in the academic year 2012-2013, he has in tenure the teaching of Philosophy of Biological Sciences, Anthropology and, in co-tenure, Evolution and Phylogeny (Master’s Degree Course in Evolutionary Biology and Master’s Degree Course in Natural Sciences) at the Department of Biology, University of Padua;
  • in the academic years 2005/2006, 2006/2007, 2007/2008, 2008/2009, 2009-2010, 2010-2011, 2011-2012, he was entrusted with the teachings of Philosophy of Science (annual, Bachelor of Science in Education, III year), Epistemology (semester, Master of Science in Educational Counseling and Educational Research, II year; borrowed in the Master of Science in Anthropological and Ethnological Sciences, II year) and Epistemology (a. a. 2007/2008, semester, University teaching in English, Master’s Degree Course in Educational Counseling and Educational Research);
  • in the 2004/2005 academic year, he was entrusted with the teaching of Epistemology (annual, Bachelor of Science in Education) and Advanced Epistemology (semester, Bachelor of Science in Educational Counseling and Educational Research; borrowed in the Bachelor of Science in Adult Education and Educational Research);
  • in the academic year 2003/2004, he was entrusted with the teaching of Genetic Epistemology (annual, Bachelor of Science in Education) and Evolutionary Epistemology (semester, Master of Science in Educational Counseling and Educational Research);
  • in the academic years 2001/2002 and 2002/2003, he was entrusted with the teaching of Genetic Epistemology (annual; Bachelor of Science in Education).From 2012 to 2016 he held several positions for the Department of Biology, University of Padua. In particular: he was a member of the Steering Committee of CAM - Centro di Ateneo per i Musei; he was a representative of the biological area in CAB - Centro di Ateneo per le Biblioteche (2012-2015); he is a Department representative in CISFIS - Centro Interdipartimentale di Storia e Filosofia delle Scienze; he was a member of the Scientific Committee of the “A. Vallisneri” Library; since 2020 he has been a member of the Scientific Committee of the Department.
  • From 2001 to 2012, as a researcher first and then as an associate professor, he has continuously contributed to the activities of the Faculty of Education of the University of Milan Bicocca, with roles of responsibility in teaching, organization and research. He has carried out multiple organizational, coordination and guidance activities for the Faculty of Education of the University of Milan Bicocca. In particular: member of the Study Plans Commission of the Bachelor of Science in Education from 2001 to 2012; member since 2002/2003 of the Faculty Commission for the evaluation of teaching; in December 2001 he was elected representative of the Researchers in the Faculty Council; member since 2001/2002 of the Faculty Commission that deals with the drafting of teaching plans, posters and the Student Guide; since 2003/2004 he has been a member of the Faculty Commission for the revision of the curricula and teaching plans of bachelor’s and master’s degree courses.

 

He has also been a lecturer in the following courses:

  • in 2022 he gave the introductory lectures in the course “Global Challenges” at the Polytechnic University of Turin;
  • in 2007 and 2008 he was a lecturer at the Master in Science Communication at SISSA - International School for Advanced Studies in Trieste (course title: “Evolution”);
  • from 2002 to 2008 he was lecturer at the Master of Art and Culture Management of TSM - Trento School of Management of the University of Trento; in particular responsible for the area “Evolutionary Analysis of Cultural Contexts and Processes”;
  • 2006/2007, lecturer at the Master in “Didactics of Science” at the University of Milan Bicocca;
  • academic year 2002/2003, lecturer at the Master’s degree in “Informatics for Humanists” at the University of Milan Bicocca (Department of Informatics, Faculty of Science MM. FF. NN.);
  • from 2002 to 2004 he was a lecturer at the Master in “Communication of Science” at the University of Milan (Institute of General and Applied Physics).
